Sponsor rescue cats at your local sanctuary

Some of the rescue cats living at our Animal Sanctuaries are unsuitable for rehoming because of their age, medical or behavioural problems. An ideal way to care for a cat is to sponsor them, even if you can't have one yourself. You can send your sponsored cats special treats and gifts and you can even visit the cats which are at our Church Knowle Sanctuary.

By sponsoring rescue cats you can take an interest in the welfare of an individual cat and contribute towards their quality of life. In return you will not only receive regular news from them in the form of newsletters, updates, a certificate in your name but also great appreciation from all at Margaret Green Animal Rescue.

Our resident cats result in considerable expenditure on vet bills and food costs, typically in excess of £500 per year for each cat. Cat sponsorship in the form of a donation assists us in providing for these rescue cats which would otherwise be without a home and a donation of £4 per month (less than £1 per week) or more helps to ensure we can properly care for our residents. In return for your voluntary commitment, we will send you a sponsorship certificate including a colour photograph and details of your chosen cat.

Please take a look below at all the rescue cats that require sponsorship. If you are interested in sponsoring other animals please choose a group of animals from the links above to see all our animals available for sponsorship. We also have dogs and rabbits that require sponsoring, we even have horses seeking sponsorship.

These rescue cats are in need of sponsors

Fabian - is an 12 year old male Persian who we are sure was called Damian in a previous life. His favourite spot is under the tree checking out visitors, and seeing whether they are worthy of his presence. At Wingletang, Devon, please contact 01822 810215.

Blackie - is a 10 year old male. He had been a long term stray before entering the Sanctuary in May 2007, and on arrival only had one ear. Being semi feral he was released on site and is now able to come and go as he pleases. He loves to spend time curled up in our Vales Cattery. At Church Knowle, Dorset, please contact 01929 480474.

Jackie - is 1 year old and was transferred from another rescue centre along with her kittens. It was obvious Jackie was feral as she was avoiding all human contact. After weaning her kittens and being spayed it was decided to release her on site and she now has the freedom to come and go as she pleases. At Church Knowle, Dorset, please contact 01929 480474.

Jazzy - is quite a character and loves to sit in the horse feed buckets at the Stables.  When he's not 'lounging around' he can often be seen stalking Rambo the Shetland pony.  He is a friendly chap, very playful but unpredictable and will give you a swipe when he's had enough!  He was born in 2002.At Church Knowle, Dorset, please contact 01929 480474.

Barney - was born in 1992 and has been at the Sanctuary since 2006. He has made himself at home and is a real favourite with the staff and loves to sit in the sun. Barney is on daily medication for renal failure. At Church Knowle, Dorset, please contact 01929 480474.

Guiness - is 11 years old. We were told by his previous owners that he had attitude, but that's what happens when you get teased too much. I've been at Wingletang since 2006 which is quite a while now and am looking for sponsorship but I am still in hope of finding a new home. At Wingletang, Devon, please contact 01822 810215.
