We are a sanctuary for animals in Dorset and Devon which relies on charity donations to help rescue animals.

Margaret Green Animal Rescue is an animal charity in Dorset and Devon that has provided sanctuary, animal rescue and rehoming for many animals since 1965. We always have a large variety of rescue pets to rehome from pet rabbits, pet mice, dogs and cats to chickens, ducks, horses and goats.

Welcome to Margaret Green Animal Rescue. We are an animal sanctuary specialising in animal care for all types of animals: dogs and cats, horses, goats, farm animals, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, and even a pot-bellied pig!

With so many animals in need of care, our three sanctuaries are always busy, finding loving homes for our animal friends, welcoming new animals and looking after the permanent residents in our care.

Animal charity history:

The animal charity, Margaret Green Foundation Trust, was founded in 1965 by the late Mr Jerry Green in order to care and provide sanctuary for unwanted, abandoned and cruelly treated animals. The Trust developed over the years under the guidance of his daughter Miss Margaret Green, and now operates two sites in Dorset and one in Devon.

In recent years, the title of the charity was changed to Margaret Green Animal Rescue to clearly explain its role. This animal charity continues to rescue many animals and now focuses equally on re-homing these animals into new, loving homes.
